Meet Josh, our dynamic Talent Consultant specialising in Renewable Energy at Impel Talent. His goal is to advance the Renewable desk, focusing not only on permanent recruitment but also aspiring to venture into contract recruitment in the future.

At Impel Talent, Josh is dedicated to elevating the Renewable Energy desk in permanent recruitment and with aspirations to delve into contract recruitment. His passion for the industry and commitment to professional growth make him an invaluable asset to our team.

Driven by a desire to break free from limitations and contribute meaningfully to both the industry and workplace culture, Josh is already making waves within Impel Talent. His commitment to enhancing the Renewable Energy desk aligns seamlessly with our goals, promising a future of growth and success for both Josh and Impel Talent.

We interviewed Josh to learn more about his motivations and plans at Impel Talent.

Why did you join Impel Talent?

I chose Impel due to the unique service (developing and coaching talent to become leaders) that is provided to its clients. This is a service which is underappreciated elsewhere, and I feel like Impel Talent has exploited a gap in the market which will be fruitful in the coming years as clients struggle to retain/recruit experienced managers/leaders.”

What do you love about your role?

The fact that every day you are exposed to a different situation excites me as it means I learn something new every day about myself and the job. Working in renewable/environment, knowing that I am having a positive impact in a cleaner world makes the job ten times better.

How did you get into rectuitment?

I decided to go into recruitment to develop my consultative skills further for my sports consultancy. Recruitment was a perfect industry to enter as it is very transferable to other adventures in life and in my pursuit of becoming a football intermediary.

What are you passionate about?

One of my main passions is humanitarian efforts around the globe. We live in a world where there are several conflicts which are causing several civilian casualties. I am keen as an individual to have an impact on social media or financially for awareness of regional conflicts that appear under the radar.

What is one piece of advice you wish you could tell yourself 10 years ago?

I would advise myself not to panic and let other people decide what I should do with my own endeavours in life. Staying strong to my word and not letting anyone undermine or deter me from my dream, no matter how many times I fall.

What do you do to relax and unwind outside of work?

I am big on exercise and Weightlifting as a method to deal with stress. Just being in an environment where I can express myself through exercise is important to me at the end of every working day.
