Botanical Ecologist

Impel Talent is excited to partner with one of our esteemed clients and is thrilled to announce multiple openings for Botanical Ecologists to join our dynamic team for an exciting conservation project across the UK.

This project, initially spanning six months, offers a fantastic opportunity for experienced Botanists to contribute their expertise to various aspects of ecological consultancy, including habitat management, protected species surveys, Biodiversity Net Gain, ECoW, impact assessments, thermal imaging, and more. With work guaranteed until the end of September and potential for extension, this role promises a fulfilling and rewarding experience.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive ecological surveys with precision and accuracy.
  • Utilise strong botanical skills to identify and assess plant species.
  • Demonstrate expertise in protected species surveys and habitat management.
  • Produce detailed reports and assessments in adherence to project requirements and regulatory standards.

 

Desired Skills:

  • Minimum FISC Level 4 qualification (If at Level 3, must be willing to pursue Level 4).
  • Excellent ecological surveying skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong botanical knowledge and proficiency in plant identification.
  • Extensive experience in surveying and report writing.
  • Possession of a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
