Roko Fakleš started his recruitment career in 2012 as a trainee at Pedersen & Partners, one of the world’s leading global executive search firms. From day one, he was thrown into the deep end, working across research, candidate identification and client reporting, and never looked back.
Over the years that followed, he cut his teeth across boutique executive search, management consulting and high-growth staffing businesses in Croatia, the DACH region and internationally, developing a sharp commercial instinct and a genuine love for placing exceptional people in roles that change their careers.
A natural builder, Roko has spent the last decade creating recruitment functions from scratch. Alongside his consulting work, he continues to lead the recruitment function for a US-based enterprise software engineering consultancy serving some of the world’s most recognised technology companies, including Microsoft, Google and Tesla. He built the function from the ground up, scaling the organisation from 1 to over 100 people in under three years. His focus has always been on senior technical talent, including software engineers, engineering leaders and C-suite executives, and he has developed a strong network across the CEE, DACH and US markets.
Roko joins Impel Talent as Associate Partner to build and lead the Technology recruitment practice, bringing his commercial drive, active senior network and deep understanding of the tech hiring landscape to open new client relationships and grow the vertical.
When he’s not building pipelines or closing deals, Roko can be found on the Adriatic Sea, fishing, diving or researching his next boat. He has a passion for performance cars, watches and anything with an engine.
