IT/OT Integration Engineer

Impel Talent is managing a confidential search for an IT/OT Engineer to join a globally recognised pharmaceutical manufacturer known for its innovation, global footprint, and commitment to digital transformation. This internationally recognized, family-owned company is investing in smart factory initiatives and advanced automation technologies to support long-term growth and manufacturing excellence.

As an IT/OT Engineer, you will:

  • Support the integration of operational technology (OT) such as PLCs and SCADA with IT systems, including MES and ERP platforms.
  • Ensure robust cybersecurity measures and backup systems are in place to protect process controls and production systems.
  • Set up and maintain industrial databases, servers, and data collection tools to support manufacturing intelligence.
  • Collaborate with automation and process engineers to enable Process Analytical Technologies (PAT) and real-time data analysis.
  • Drive the digitalization of manufacturing records, contributing to the rollout of electronic batch records (eBPR) and paperless initiatives.

About You:

You are a results-driven IT/OT specialist with a proven ability to bridge the gap between industrial automation and enterprise systems. You understand the challenges of regulated manufacturing environments and bring expertise in systems integration, network architecture, and data security.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Automation, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience integrating OT and IT systems in GMP or industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SCADA (e.g., WinCC, Skada), PLCs, MES, and PAT systems.
  • Deep understanding of OPC servers, network communications, and industrial cybersecurity.
  • Fluency in English and proficiency with Microsoft Office and related tools.
